The graph shows that over a 48,000 hour period only Brilliance fitted with Long Life lamps can last the whole period without requiring re-lamping. One lamp change is required for Brilliance with Standard lamps but 4 changes are needed for both SON and Metal Halide discharge lamps.
With less frequent switching it is possible to extend the lamp life of Brilliance significantly. For the Long Life version, with one on/off switching per day, average lamp life is extended up to 70,000 hours.
Both Brilliance lamp versions offer instant “On” and re-strike qualities and are ideal
for use with energy saving lighting controls including dimming. Brilliance is fitted with dual control gear so that in the unlikely event of a control gear failure 50% of the lamps will be normally left running. Additionally Brilliance may be specified with “Dual Switching” to provide half and full lighting for improved energy efficiency. Brilliance may also be specified with an integral 3 hour Emergency pack with a neon indicator.
Brilliance is suitable for one to one replacement of existing 400 watt discharge fittings where than more than a 50% load saving can be achieved. The justification for Brilliance is even greater when maintenance savings and disruption is taken into account. For example over a 48,000 hour period 4 re-lamping cycles will be required for discharge lighting compared to just one for Brilliance Ultra or two for Brilliance standard.
