Variance 
Variance is a high light output T5 fluorescent fitting with an integral PIR presence detector and light sensor and the ability to dim down to 10% of full light output - combining versatile control options with excellent lighting performance and low cost of ownership. As such, Variance is ideal for projects requiring energy efficient lighting with automatic, intelligent control in areas with variable occupancy and/or daylight levels.
In combining presence detection and dimming in relation to daylight levels Variance maximises energy efficiency while providing all of the benefits of T5 fluorescent technology, giving a fast return on investment through low total life costs, including extended re-lamping schedules to reduce maintenance overheads.
The integral PIR presence detector is highly adaptable, offering a range of configurations and ‘hold times’ to suit the precise control needs of each project.
Variance is available with 4 x 54W and 3 x 80W lamp configurations as standard, with a wide choice of other lamp combinations where required. These open fittings have an IP rating of IP20 and MIRO4 high performance aluminium reflectors folded into a parabola for optimum light output to the working plane.
All Variance fittings provide either partial or full lighting as required and minimise energy consumption. Variance has been designed for ease of installation, using a rear mounting bracket for straight forward installation onto conduit, solid ceilings or lighting trunking. Use of a pre-fitted plug and socket connection ensures ease of connection and isolation. Fittings can also be supplied with a polycarbonate diffuser or wire guard, if required.
Luminaire body specification Variance is manufactured from 0.8mm, punched and folded zinc plated steel finished in epoxy polyester powder paint in RAL9003.
